The weather is doing the usual, for this year anyway, sun going down and the sky is clearing.;)
Lots of stars, but we hardly ever see the sun.

It always used to be 98.4F until they started working in Centigrade. They couldn't cope with parts of a whole number  so decided that instead of using 36.9C (the original accepted figure) they would call it 97C :wallbanging:. This resulted in them revising ours to 98.6F Shear laziness :noidea:

And I thought it was down to Global Warming!!! :snorky:

Take the wind out of it and it is a gorgeous day:)

Ophelia is battering here a bit......feel sorry for the Republic where it is much, much worse:sad: and hope nothing too serious happens there

At the beach early this morn the wind and sea were as violent as I've seen for a while but the sheer power of it all invigorating at the same time :wow:

Had a cuppa in the garden and it is weird.......warm enough for shirt sleeves, total blue sky but the wind is howling overhead. Very surreal :rasp:
Dahlias, grasses, Bonariensis (is this the plural too?) cannas and the rest are being bashed...blowing and bending with the wind yet not snapping. Must be because it is so dry.

Off to take another class teaching people with learning difficulties ....just hope I wont be blown off the road:gaah:

After a very dark morning with a yellow tint to the clouds (normally in winter that would herald snow) the sun is trying to make an appearance and out of the strong winds it feels mild. max 18c

The ominous yellowish sky this morning was due to dust clouds from the Sahara . My car has little dust spots all over it . Now its a beautiful autumn afternoon , the leaves are chasing themselves round in little spirals as it's a bit breezy , and its a sunny 20°c

It was pretty weird here this afternoon, by 3pm it was almost night time, reminded me of the time back in 2000 when we had that eclipse that was just shy of total.

It was fairly blowy and the sun went from red to non existent, kept expecting it to rain the sky was so dark, but unlike cloud, difficult to explain.

it reached 21.8C before this happened.

Only for a while, after that it looked like the end of the world was coming, right up until sunset when the sky turned red out to the west.

The eclipse was very humbling, awe inspiring and thought provoking. Loads of us perched high up overlooking the sea. To see the approaching wall of darkness in slow motion was so overwhelming I dont think anyone said anything :)
