Took a peek at the link Wildflower but also couldn't complete the survey, unless they want to know about the squashed one on the road this afternoon. Had a hedgehog at the old house briefly, it was sitting under the decking making heavy breathing noises, scared the life out of me until it popped out. I saw it a couple of days later running off down the road. I never knew they could move so fast!

Celia - 'heavy breathing' is usually the amorous approach of one hegehog to another.
Thought you'd just like to know. Its a sound worthy of a 70yearold irate heavy smoker isnn't it?
Wildflower - glad you pointed out the survey.Thanks.
