I have a row of the above at the front of the house. I cannot protect them from windburn as they are at the front and it will look silly with polythene or fleece.

Any other suggestions and should I continue to water them ?

A photo would be good, and can you tell us how tall they are.If they are established then they shouldn't need watering.Someone should be along later who can help you out on this one

Theu suffer very badly from windburn. The leaves turn brown and shrivel up. They do not return again.

Jules I allways think if you struggle against nature as you are with your holly it would perhaps be better to replace it with somethin more suited to the conditions like Dendy I have never known holly to suffer windburn are you sure its not something else causing it
