My friend has a Corsican Hellebore at the bottom of his allotment and it has produced seedpods. It is a lone plant so will not be cross pollinated by any other hellebore plants.

    I have two questions...

Does this mean the seeds are infertile as it is a lone plant?

Will they all be the same colour type as I've heard that hellebores can produce colour varieties from their seeds?

They should be fertile and H. lividus corsicus comes true from seed anyway.

Take note though Sawfish that hellebore seed is poisonous, so be careful when handling. If you do wear protective gloves or if using bare hands don't lick your fingers afterwards
