Hi, good people. Well it's been quite a time since I've posted but have kept up with the threads on an almost daily basis. As usual, the info has been truly astounding and a good read too.

Things have been so up and down since March with many problems trying to help friends and with dads ongoing medical condition. I've been backwards and forwards between SE & SW London but have put my heart and soul into the garden.

The weather here in Eltham has been abysmal and so destructive. The wind has not ceased and I can't think of Two consecutive days without heavy rain. I have been out in it constantly getting cold and drowned but have persevered. The plants however, have suffered and are getting blown to bits and washed out.

Still, I carry on, learning and enjoying every minute of it and still have replacement plants to fill gaps. Many questions to follow and lots of ID's needed.

Thanks for reading, have a great one and it's good to be back. A few photos from today. [IMG][IMG]

        Welcome back @Rustler

I do know what you mean with the weather; think we're all at its mercy in the garden.

But, despite that, your garden is looking wonderful!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: Colourful and lush, I think.
I'm quite tempted to pop round and take a few minutes reflection time besides your fountain: it does look inviting!

You have created a positively charming retreat and the time and effort you put into it is clearly rewarded judging by the photographs. Well done to you :love30: :love30: :love30:

Thank you so much. I sit at the bench looking at fountain at silly o'clock most nights contemplating the day, and the next. I just wish it was so much bigger. I've tried to use all the space and have run out! Allotment required, me thinks.

It's good to have you back posting, Rustler. The garden is looking really lush and green, and there's a lot of thought and effort gone into it....making me jealous!!:snorky:

Nice to see you back @Rustler :yay:

Your garden looks really lovely, and is a credit to you. My gardening year has pretty much been wiped out due to various issues (including the weather), so I have basically given up this year.

That is so sad to hear mate. I felt like giving up most days but thought if I give up on it, then what else can I escape to? I have my music to write and play but my inspiration comes from the garden and just being outside. Hope it picks up for you mate. All the best and thanks for your kind thoughts.

Welcome back Rustler. Despite the damage that your garden has suffered it's certainly looking lovely now, obviously due to your hard work. :dbgrtmb:

Thanks @Rustler - most of it is due to issues at work, which to some degree are still ongoing as I resigned from my position almost three weeks ago, and am currently waiting for a decision to be made as to what I will be doing next. On the bright side, no longer being a manager means that I don't work and emails coming home with me, and I am a whole load more chilled out. I have enough perennial stuff in the garden that it doesn't look completely bare when we are sat out, which we are likely to spend most of the weekend doing this weekend.
