Hello everybody, I've been lurking for a while and enjoying the chat and advice given.
In the middle of renovating a very neglected (by us) garden really enjoying buying new plants checking the growth of them daily. Husband this evening actually said "Ville de Lyon has reached the top of the trellis" - we had a glass of wine to celebrate.
Loads of questions but the first is why has a newly bought pot of mint - nothing special just spearmint I think - got what looks like rust spots all over its leaves?

Hi, hope you enjoy the company!
Remove all the affected leaves and spray with fungicide if you use such things. If you let it get a hold it will kill the plant. It might have brought the infection wih it.

Anything containing sulphur, at the garden centre. It would spread to any member of the mint family [Lamium] but I don't know if it's the same as rust on other plants, like hollyhocks.
