Just a quick note to say hello to everyone. I hope you're all enjoying your weekend (let's not think about work tomorrow !!).

I am hoping to get some advice from this forum going forward - my gardening skills are not great and my garden is in need of a little TLC. I inherited not much more than a wasteland and I'm having to start from scratch. It's all good fun though.

Hello, Lee18, and welcome to GC. As we're 31,2oC at the moment, I'm avoiding the garden and doing computer-like things (I've very technical :D )

If you could send a pic of your wasteland or describe what sort of trees, shrubs, etc, you like, there's a lot of folk here who will gladly advise you.

Enjoy the site and the rest of your weekend [IMG] Being a Lady of Leisure I don't have to think about work tomorrow :D

Thank you both for the welcome.

You're right about the digging, several spades and sprained wrists later I realise I have an uphill battle.

Have you come across the famous pudding stones yet, Lee? They're "interesting" but a pain in the wrist if you find them where you're digging!
