    Hi
I do all the sowing, cuttings, planting, growing and weeding. My husband is the groundsman and odd jobber; (in other words, anything I don't like doing!) I'm always on the lookout for something new, interesting, sustainable, unusual and rare (rather like myself, haha!) Have been gardening for 44 years but am still learning.

Hi there. Nice to 'meet' you. Are you into gardening big time, plants, veg or both?

I'm reasonably new to gardening - only got my first garden about six years ago, and even then it wasn't that big. I moved to Ashford about three years ago, and have a bigger garden now, and the 'bug' has really got me now; I do flowers and veggies, and will give pretty much anything a shot once

Here are a few recent shots of my wee bit of heaven:

Gardening does tend to creep up on you and invade your soul. I have been in this garden all my married life and it has changed many times. That is what gardening is about, always striving and altering, learning from mistakes and constantly trying to outwit Mother Nature. Think I recognise roughly where you live. Do you have a parade of shops with a green not far from your house?

Woodlands Parade is not all that far from me; Tom's hardware is one of my favourite wee shops in fact - I am pretty much just around the corner from where the Black Dog used to be.

We are about 300 yards from The Black Dog, towards the BP. Because our house is over 100 years old we are very lucky to have a large garden which I grow most things in, both edible and pretty. My favourite garden centre is the one in Nutty Lane, Longacres, which is so incredibly cheap. I often look in their 'poorly plants' section to get some good bargains. Am lucky enough to have 4 greenhouses, one of which is dedicated to soft fruit. Am an avid ebayer for plants which 'the groundsman' tolerates pretty well. So nice to have a gardener contact in Ashford.

                Good evening Diwson,
this is a lovely place to come to at the dimming of the day. Lots of good folk who love to share their joys and headaches . Mad as Hatters some of them, but quite harmless... :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

If I stood at my front door and whistled, you would most likely hear me - I am in Tudor Road! What a small world :)
