    Hello everyone,

I help out a lot every year at my neighbours allotment. I have my own area in which to grow whatever I like. I've signed up to see views and get tips on what to grow and what I can plant in April. Arthur has given me some tips on planting carrots, chillies and tomato's. Any thing else I could plant? Look forward to making new friends here,

    C x

        Hi,

Not sure about growing chillies outside ? but have a look in the Chillies 2023 thread, sure they will let you know if any can be grown without some form of shelter.

Salad crops like Spring Onions,Lettuce, Beetroot, Rocket, Basil etc are always easy ones to get quick results from.

Bigger crops if you have the space - like Potatoes, Runner or French Beans, SweetCorn ... etc

So many others you can grow, just depends what you like to eat ?

          Welcome on board @fbpechrissy

Now is time to plant potatoes and sow parsnips. Maybe too early to be planting tomatoes and chillies even in a polytunnel, I wait till all chance of frost has gone which is mid-May here in Surrey.
