I stumbled across this forum via Google and as you seem like such a knowledgeable, friendly lot, and I know very little about starting a garden (yet have slightly ambitious plans for it!), I thought Darwin and I would stay - Darwin, in my avatar, is chief digger :)

We have a 190ft long south facing garden that seems to be composed of weeds, lumps of concrete, old Christmas trees (4) and patios (who needs 5 patios?!), complete with overgrown pond, leaky shed, asbestos filled out building, partly completed greenhouse, creaky decking, wonky path and overlapping fruit trees!

While we're really looking forward to making it look like something loved, I'm going to be rummaging around here for lots of advice :)

    So... Hi :)

(photos are, in no particular order, Darwin inspecting the overgrown hedge and rockery by a patio, Darwin asleep on the wonky path, the overgrown mess behind the leaky shed and the view from an upstairs window - patio, decking, outbuilding and gaaaaaaarden)
