Hello from Compost Corner!

Hello,

This is my first post, on my first ever forum.

I am Cookie Monster's Mum and am learning how to use the computer.

I am retired and live near Bath and have gardened since about the age of 3. I especially enjoy my rockery and spend hours on my compost heap, hence my alias! Alpine plants are my favourites. I dont have room to grow veg and my army of slugs would no doubt eat it all anyway.

I have a library of gardening books which I keep adding to - sometimes triplicating the same book by accident which then gets passed on to Cookie Monster.

My other interests are birds, animals, my 2 grandaughters and my pet cat Zippy.

Hi CC, welcome to the forum. I can't imagine what you do for hours on the compost heap??? Full marks for no spelling mistakes on your first post.. a rare occurrence on forums these days.

I feel I am doing my bit for the environment with my composting, I sit on a little stool with my wheelbarrow and seive the ready compost into it- it sure beats housework! :D

Hi Marion. Welcome to GC. A lot of us are retired (except Dee, who is thirteen and a half (and allegedly an alcoholic)) so you won't be out of place at all.
