    Hello!

Very keen gardener during the 70s and had a garden retail business during the 80s, then…………lapsed!

Surprised no one had used the name Mr.Middleton!

Before even my time (!), on the radio; but still have his green covered “bible” that belonged to my Father and that I used to flip through as a kid in the 1950s.

Have a post about Primula vulgaris (the wild primrose), which I will put up on the forum later.

Welcome to Gardeners Corner Mr. Middleton. It looks like gardening has been passed down through the generations of your family. There's a grand mix of gardeners on here from beginners through to those more experienced and we all have a bit of fun along the way, so I hope you are prepared for the humour that crops up here and there. :)

Good evening Mr Middleton. I feel I should be wearing a posh dress when I address you - not the scruffy old crops and grubby tops that are the standard dress code on here!
Anyway, :sign0016: to Gardeners Corner. We've all cheered up immenseley now that Summer's here at long last, hope you are enjoying having a wander round the topics today,

Welcome to GC. Good to have someone else from my part of the world on here.

Are you a Suffolk native, or one of them 'newcomers' to the county (ie anyone who's been here less than 30 years)? ;)

No, not really. Just an expression of mild surprise, never got into trouble at primary school saying it!

(Somehow managed to post this in conversations - tsk - newbie!!)

Thank you but..................not sure about the knowledge - bit lapsed and what I did know in the 80s (how to feed or kill!! :hate-shocked: ) is out of date now what with a lot of the chemicals I dealt with then are now not available.

Recently traced mine back to the 16th century, (the Suffolk Wardleys) so I think I qualify.:snork:
