Hello everyone im Mark and im 29. I have a wife and 2 kids (boys) ages 4 and 9 weeks old.

We recently bought a new house and with the house came a huge 100foot plus long garden which is covered head to toe in the dreaded brambles. My wife and I see the garden as a huge project and we feel at the moment we have bitten off more than we can chew.

I just want my kids to be able to run around in a lovely big garden so ive begun hacking away at this jungle.

Ill post a few pictures when I get chance and hopefully some of yo will be able to advise me on how a few things could be done.

ive been reading your posts in this forum for a few weeks now and I chose to join your forum because it seems a friendly happy and helpfull place.

I look forward to sharing ideas with evryone.

Welcome to GC Mark, take your time and work out what you want and where you want it. Brambles are a b*gger to get rid of for good but if you persevere I'm sure you will end up with a garden to be proud of. [IMG]

Hi Mark always a pleasure to welcome a new member to the forum and of late it seems we have had very few that has popped on to say hi.....maybe they're all very shy?

Anyway you must be having a busy old time what with that garden and of course a new baby and another boy too how sweet is that! [IMG]

There is even more good news for you as starting to sort out a 'jungle' of a garden there is no better time like winter to get things rolling and hacking away at all those brambles.

I'm sure in no time at all your wife and you will have a stunning play area for your children and maybe even a space for mum and dad to relax in on a warm summer evening when the chldren are in bed! :D

Happy hacking and good luck, don't forget to take a 'before picture' before you start your mammoth task then we can all share the wonder of your transformation when things are finally done!
