Hello from Northumberland!

Hi all, I'm in Longframlington, Northumberland which is a bit of a windswept village near Alnwick. We have a new build garde, 18mtres square, on heavy clay soil. We've had the place landscaped as at 70+ I didn't fancy the years it would've taken me to do it on my own. Not sure how to embed images at this stage!

 

And the garden is S facing, no shade anywhere, except under the shrubs we've had planted.

Hi John, greetings from a neighbour, we are a stone's throw from Newcastle

Your garden looks great and I think you were very wise to get the landscapers to do the hard labour. Digging, lifting and carrying are heavy jobs at any age!

Containers are brilliant as they need minimum weeding and you can grow whatever you like, but in a south facing garden you might need to water a lot. No summer holidays away I'm afraid

Btw... it looks like you stole my rain... we had the most serious shower in months today, it lasted 30mins and just about glazed the paving
