Hello from Spain!

Good Afternoon everyone, and greetings from Rota, Spain!

My name is Casey Hagen. I'm currently serving on active duty in the Navy, stationed in Rota, Spain with my wife. I've only just recently gotten interested in gardening; I've done quite a bit of reading since we got here in March, and have only just been able to start planting last month. So far, I've started garlic, green onions, and the usual herbs (rosemary, basil, cilantro, oregano, and thyme). I'd like to expand on this next spring with okra, eggplants, tomatoes, and more.

Due to the fact that we're unable to tear up our grass in on base housing, I'm limited to containers, so I'm hoping that it won't hinder my goals too much. Either way, I've been lurking on this forum for a few days, and decided to take the dive and register! Hoping to learn a lot!

welcome to Gardeners Corner. So glad you've taken the plunge. There are some lovely portable troughs that can be used to plant the type of things you want. There's a useful Tomato growing thread that was of great help to newcomers, like me:
