...well, it's not exactly sunny this fine morning, but nevertheless I have come to greet you all with a nice bright Hello!

New to the forum (although I have been lurking for quite some time now), but not new to gardening, starting at the tender age of three years old, helping my mom divide and pot her orchids in the tropics of south east asia. Had a rose garden in Switzerland and now I find myself trying to build a small cottage garden in Yorkshire.

At the moment I get no support from my two cats (who would rather drive away wildlife) and my man (who would rather drive away wildlife and green stuff, while hiding in his garage). So I thought I might as well reach out and share ideas with people who might actually be interested to listen. You guys!

    Have a nice day now!

Hi Sinta and welcome to GC. Glad to see you are already posting and I'm sure you will have noticed, if you've been 'lurking' that most of us are totally mad. But there is also a lot of collective knowledge so enjoy.

Thanks for the warm greetings everyone ^_^ And no worries about my sanity. My other half reckons I'm quite mad about gardening. A healthy dose doesn't hurt anyone.
