    Hi all.

I've never had a garden before and am on a very steep learning curve. I just wanted to apologise for the numerous questions I'm likely to be bombarding you all with in the next few months.

So far I have a small veg patch, a shady, shrub corner and a long sunny border with espallier apple trees along the fence behind it. Next project is a rockery and steps put to the garden from the patio.

Good morning, Mrs Bobs and welcome to GC.

Fire away with all of your questions ... there is always someone to answer be it regarding veggies, flowers, shrubs or trees. Or just pop in for a chat.

    Enjoy!

Looking forward to your barrage of questions, Mrs Bobs! :D Welcome to you!! I used to live down that way myself, in the SW corner of Herts, where there's a really interesting roundabout

Which lovely tabby do you mean Mrs Bobs?

My avatar is the real Gato, he's sunning himself on Hubby's desk next to me at the moment.

LofL (my Kid Sis) found the walking tabby for me as my signature. He must have walked several thousand kilometers by now!

That would be your avatar Kedi. Reminds me of our cat when we were growing up.

It was the largest garden we saw when we were looking to buy Blackthorn. It's 80ftx45ft and only had a really unlevel lawn, a massive dilapidated shed in the back corner and awful conifer hedges down each side when we moved in. Now shed and hedges are gone, there are new fencing down both sides and I'm beginning to put the beds in.
