        She's a cutie!

We've spent the morning sat outside on the patio, now sat inside watching the Wimbledon final (and to cool down!). Wishing you a lovely day too :)

oh my goodness isn't Rosie a beauty! i'd love to have a parrot like her someday, not necessarily an Amazon...just as long as he/she's bigger than a budgie lol :snork: not that im knocking budgies mind!...i absolutely lurve budgies & have kept & bred them for many years  does Rosie talk Woo? our little house budgie (all the others are in an aviary in the garden) is a fluent talker would you believe:imphrt:

Hi Honeybunny yes Rosie talks all the time, she is always calling Penny, and says good morning, hello Woo,constantly whistles the Adams family tune, plus a lot more, she is 25 now,I used to bred and show Budgies met Geoff Capes at shows,I just love white wing blues, lutino's and the Rainbows,Pieds, and after that I bred and showed Roller Canaries, and Goldfimch's,Norwich's:)

              Woo, I bet Rosie's quite a character. :)

I didn't realise you have bred birds. Did you ever make it to the Rayleigh or Southend's (Essex) club shows. My mum bred parakeets and foreign finches for thirty years and was a member of these clubs.

cor Woo you bred budgies too! :hate-shocked: i've been besotted with them since i was a nipper, just 13 yrs old, i think everyone thought it was just a phase lol how wrong could they be...15 yrs later & im still mad about them :heehee: i've never been into the exhibition aspect of it though as i personally prefer the smaller more naturally shaped type budgies to the larger exhibition type...just my preference :) i really only breed for the love of baby budgies :heehee: i do find the whole genetics aspect fascinating though & love combining the different mutations seeing what the babies look like...it is a truly wonderful hobby :imphrt:

Who's a pretty girl then:wub2:and fabulous she chats away:dancy:they are so comical aren't they...there was one in a pub I used to go to and it would mimic the fruit machine but was always getting told off for swearing...one night the land lord thought enough was enough so he went over to her cage told her she was being naughty so it was time for bed ,he then put a cover over the cage and as he walked away we heard a loud but muffled very strong swearword:heehee: she wasn't happy:biggrin:
