Hello - new member, total beginner...

Hello everyone,

I'm brand new to this website and brand new to gardening. We bought our house back in 2004 and the back garden was basically all either paved or covered in gravel. We've slooowly been trying to turn into a real garden, but with a wedding and two babies coming along since moving in it's been very slow going.

We're getting there though - a very kind freecycler donated lots of plants to me, and I've spent this morning putting them into pots and giving them a good water - but I'm not a natural with things like this so I thought I'd find a forum in the hope that you could all help me keep the plants alive - I have not the first clue what I'm doing!

Anyway, that's enough rambling for now. Nice to meet you all :D
