hi, I just happened on your forum recently and it looks really interesting.

I'm not a mad-keen gardener, but I like to do a bit -- keep it tidy, grow some flowers in the summer, that sort of thing. And I have a vegetable plot (potatoes, leeks, broccoli etc) and a greenhouse. I've had some success growing sweetcorn in the greenhouse. I know it's supposed to be grown outdoors but I find it does much better in the g/h (sheltered from the wind) and is really delicious, much better than what you can buy.

Except right now I don't really have a greenhouse:yho:. I sold the old one on Ebay, together with our old shed, the kids' toys, grandma's old jewellery, Dad's 1962 bus map and most of my pots and pans ... and I raised enough money to buy a new, bigger and better greenhouse. So now I have a hole in the ground where the old g/h was and a big pile of meccano that's supposed to fit together to make a new g/h. And it's pouring with rain ...

    Welcome to the forum Upcountrygirl.
My goodness you did do well selling your family's 'Stuff', getting rid of something that no longer appeals to you and buying something you're going to use is the best way to recycle I think.

May your new greenhouse go up a treat. Good luck I think you might need it what with all that meccano!:hehe:Hel.xxx.
