    Hi everyone,

I'm new here and a fairly novice gardener so I have quite a few questions for my (ongoing) garden project. We moved into our home about 4 years ago and with two toddlers it's been a task just trying to maintain it and keep it tidy. We have quite a large plot, about two thirds of our back garden is lawn (very mossy and weedy) and a third is a pretty much untouched wooded area with some out of control trees and shrubs.

I'm looking forward to reading all of your tips and advice! :)

Hi mharf, welcome to Gardeners Corner.

Most of the GC members have "been there", or are still wearing the T-shirt, so we know exactly what you mean:hate-shocked::heehee:
Can you tell the GC Gang what direction your garden faces [North, South, East, West], what kind of soil you have in the garden, [Clay, sandy, stoney, loamy,] is it acid, neutral or alkaline? You'll know if it's acid as people around you will be growing Rhododendrons etc.
The GC Gang, of which you are now a member:snork:, are very friendly and helpful so ask any questions you have.
