Hi everyone, I'm Jaffa from the UK.

    Here for

Enjoy growing herbs, but still very new, so might need help with identification and growing advice at times - if nobody minds their brains being picked ?

    Set up

One indoor green house and one outdoor.
Had more growing, but some plants just wouldn't take for me - What survived was.

    - st John's wort
    - White Yarrow
    - Marsh mellow
    - Worm wood (been so helpful for keeping pests away)
    - Mother wort (Tho I'm sure it's a mint, might need help with this one)

    Talk soon

Welcome to Gardeners Corner jaffacake90. :)

We don't mind our minds being picked, that's partly what we're all here for. You won't be able to pick mine though, I know very little about herbs, sorry.

Aren't most of the herbs you mention medicinal rather than culinary?

      Thanks guys

I'll try to post a question along with an image today on this plant - it's young & can't figure out what it is.

"Aren't most of the herbs you mention medicinal rather than culinary?"

Yes. I'm from a medical background and became interested in what we used in the past. It's interesting to find painkillers, antiseptics, anti-inflammation, anxiety meds everywhere.

The medical scientists: The evidence supporting plants for medicinal use is very vague and inconclusive.

Also the medical scientists: We should all eat a diverse range of plant based foods for a myriad of proven health benefits.
