Hi I'm a complete newbie to gardening, it's only very recently I've found the enjoyment behind it (I was very shallow before I'm ashamed to say :()
I'm 35 and I'm working hard on redoing our gardens, which have been let get a bit overgrown :(
I like simple as I'm a newbie, so simple is at the moment the green easy to grow plants planted in the gardens - front garden has a few heathers, lavenders, rosemarys and juniper bushes - and a white tea rose I planted a few years ago that's doing really well, on top of this there are a few plants which were maintained from before but I dont know what they are
The gravel in both gardens is being changed for grass too, both are fairly large gardens (we've got a very sizable end plot)

    about me: I'm 35yrs married with 2 children, 2 aquariums, 2 dogs, 1 car

ummmm that's all i can think of for now hiii! *waves* d-yy

no pictures as yet as at the moment apart from the beds theres really nothing to look at, the gravels been allowed to overgrow (to try and ensure the weedkiller was no longer there as we wanted grass).
I know what you mean about addiction though, I weeded and replanted where it needed it in the beds in the front and have been looking out of the front upstairs windows at night admiring what I've done. what I like about gardening is it's usually fairly instant and you can see what you've done. I really like decorating internally too so i'm sure the two are related

I have to admit I havent ventured out very far today, just got some pepper powder from homebase as the cats are already taking advantage of my hardwork and I found a catpoo by standing in it in the area I'm removing gravel for soil/grass - grrrrrr - hide it, my left foot they do!
