Hello Terrier, i was not aware that location is so vital, ws not trying to be incognito just missed that part during registration, which it was not compulsory either, however for everyone sake I am from the UK, region Kent, Borough of Swale! :thumb:

Walnut I dont know yet how or where to find out in which temperature zone I am! If someone could please give me this very first crucial advice I would be extremely greatful. ;)

Daz and Debs I just thought it would be a nice name (in my opinion) as it refers to "green finger" but since I am not an "expert" I wouldnt like to call myself green finger but pink was the next more appropriate colour as I am a female and if you were to draw a cartoon of me it would be pink! :D
Sorry to let you down not a very intriguing or interesting reason!! :p

    Hi Pinkie

    Welcome to Gardener Corner!

Hey - lots of us are novices here and are trying to find our way in the new and wonderful world of growing stuff! There are some great folks here!

    Stick around and enjoy.

Don't worry about EXACT temperature zones - I haven't a clue what mine is - I think what folks were trying to say was that it will make a big difference if you are gardening in the Shetland Isles compared to Jersey, climate wise!!!! Just a rough idea of location is fine - we promise we won't steal your identity or turn up and gatecrash your garden parties!!!!

    Hi Pinkfinger, and welcome!

Your name certainly has a better and more interesting reason than mine!!!

I too have no idea what temperate zone I am in. It's often wet and cold though! Is there a website anywhere with a map for easy guidance anyone???

This is a great site, with great people with lots of different ideas and interests. Look forward to chatting soon!
