Hello, Arun and Ginny from Gloucesershire and welcome to GC! Glad you found us after all these years! you may regret that!

You have a nice diversity there ... allotment and tranquil garden next to a stream ... I prefer the latter (sorry, Ginny!).

The Glos folk will introduce themselves but in the meantime I hope you enjoy the site. You'll learn a little, give a little and laugh a lot!

    Enjoy and welcome again! [IMG]

Thanks for the warm welcome Lady of Leisure. I too love the tranquil stream garden, especially with a glass or two of homemade plum wine listening to the babbling brook and smelling al heavenly smells of the garden and watching the butterflys and bees go about their work helping us out.

Dont blame Ginny for the veggies lol thats my idea lol her garden is more suitable than mide for veggies and fruit, lucky we have both gardens to play with for now ;)

I think we need to rename ourselves as Tom and Barbara, we are thinking of chickens next ;)

I'd like goats and chickens but t'other half isn't having any of it. Our donkey shed is now our kitchen and our chicken run is now our Baffa .. so I'm sh*t out of luck!

Like it ... keep tuned in and in touch! [IMG]

Chickens are so easy to keep. I used to have them with my ex, fed them once a day thats about it apart from picking them up and giving them a cuddle [IMG] Two eggs a day each, far tastier than supermarket eggs mmmm

Arun, our eggs are different here than England .. taste like eggs, funnily enough!

I've got two abandoned kittens to cuddle at the moment (Pets .. Worst Nightmare: Pets .. Here they are .. ) so at the moment I don't need chickens as much as I'd love them.

Rosa .. I think a chick or two on your verandah would be a fine thing! [IMG] :D

My brother-in-law has a small-holding, and he keeps pigs and goats (for the wool). He intended to have chickens, but the bird flu thing stopped that...

    pigs' wool - a novel concept!! :D

Actually, interestingly enough, he's been advised to breed his angoras with pygmies and get pingora..... I kid you not!!! Apparently you get good wool that way... Google it if you don't believe me! I will anyway.

Maybe something for you to try at home, Arun????
