    Hi all.

So, I am new here and my gardening knowledge is basic but I have a lemon tree which I have owned for about 3-4 years and it has always spent the colder months in my garage.

This year, due to size etc. I have had to leave it outside and partially covered. Please see the attached pictures.

Basically, is it beyond saving as I removed all dead leaves and gave it a light prune about a week or two ago but it seems to have got worse losing more leaves and some branches going brown.

Any support will be greatly appreciated.

Well I wouldn't give up on it just yet but often only the rootstock survives in cases like this, so watch out for new shoots below the graft.

While some of the branches are green there's hope. It's going to be tempting to water and feed it. Don't! Put it somewhere warm and sheltered but not necessarily in full sun. Keep the soil just barely moist. Cut it back to just above outward-facing 'bumps' on those three main branches. If it is going to sprout, that will give you even growth. Once you get new growth, water cautiously and give it a weak, liquid feed.

Thank you for this advice. Really appreciated. I will give it a light prune and try and somehow get it back in the garage for a small period whilst the frosts are still just loitering about. Thanks again
