    Hello,

I planted this Winter Flowering Cherry Blossom about 4-5 weeks ago. I have read that they should be pruned after flowering, so im guessing relatively soon.

Any tips on what branches i should be looking to take out?

In the early years, prune to establish a strong framework with balanced branches and remove poorly positioned shoots. Though looking at your tree, I would leave it alone

It’s not that they should/ must be pruned after flowering its just that after flowering is the right time to do it if it is needed. You will only need to do any pruning if there are dead, diseased or damaged branches which need to be removed or if you feel the shape needs improving

It looks a lovely shape and healthy. One of my favourite trees
