    i would love to know what this is. im not the best gardener and i normally dig things up i dont likt the look of. but i have loads of these plants appeared.

    It's a Euphorbia also known as Spurge, Paula. Not a weed....unless you don't like it:heehee:

    well i was thinking of pulling them up, but as its not a weed i'll let it stay. hoping now i get some flowers of it.

    I don't think you'll get any worthwhile flowers off it! I'd pull it up, especially if it's in the way and definitely before it drops any seeds. They look quite interesting in a sculptural sort of way, though.

    Well. it's not really grown for flowers as the "flowers" are bracts. It's grown for it's different colours and foliage. I wouldn't personally pull it up as it is a bona fide border plant......unless Paula doesn't like it. You'll find various varieties of Euphorbia in many a garden.:biggrin:

    These popped up all over my garden when we first moved into our house and I spent ages pulling them up because they were so widespread (the garden hadn't been worked for 18 months). However, I did find they were easy to pull up and I came to quite like them in the right place. As Armandii says, they are legitimate border plants and after all a weed is only a plant growing in the wrong place!

      In my garden a Euphorbia is a weed in the wrong place, it doesn't matter how many I pull up there's more to replace them. :gaah:
