HELP! New water lilly

    I have just bought a water lilly. The instructions say to plant the 'ryzone' etc. It was boxed and from B&Q. My query is;The ryzone has creamy/pink shoots at one end and nothing at the other...........which way is up? Thank you as always.

    They tend to grow horizontal Dave.
    Rooting as they go, so no way is up as such, but the end with the shoots is the growing point.
    Lay the rhizome on its side and cover lightly, leaving the shoots protruding, they will grow towards the light.

    Seems to have grown an inch in about 3 or 4 days. Jobs a good'un then
