I planted some radishes a while ago, paying little or no attention to when it was exactly .... how do I tell they are ready for harvest?

I pull mine when you see they are red & they are about the size of my ring finger.. That way they usually have a little peppery kick when you crunch into them... :thumb:

I thought perhaps that the leaves changed colour to indicate they were ready .... I pulled one this morning just as a test, and it was a little on the small side :( BUT the leaves had really started to shoot up and go red in places.

Hmm not the leaves as such.. Well no looking at mine, I can see the red top of the radish above the soil when I pull it.. I think the leaves just get bigger as the radish grows.. So you are looking for a red top on the radish itself which is about as thick as your ring finger & about 1 1/2"-2" long, or if globe about the size of a Gob stopper..!! :lollol::thumb:
