When I cleared some wayward bushes I came across a couple of these. I donâ??t know what they are or the best way to get them greening up again?

    Any Suggestions?

I think dig it out is the best suggestion, once conifers get brown they will not green up in that area again.
It will always look bad, so I'd give up on it and plant something new.

I don't think it is a "bush" Dishon.
As Pete says it looks like a conifer which has been starved of light and air.
Those brown bits will never recover. The tree will grow on, but it will never look good. Those brown bits will always be there.
I would have it out and plant something which will earn the space.

As the others have said, dig it out and plant something else!
