Digging up a rough bit of ground and found lots of bulbs, Id please, the bulbs have not come up for years becauce the ground was full of ash tree roots and dry as a bone

Edit new pic with a 20p and 50p coins

The ground was so dry from the ash tree and it's roots that nowt grew, all the bulds feel ok, but now we can get the ground back to doing something nice :dancy: so dug it over today and found 150- 200 bulbs, so it would be nice to replant then and get a nice bit of colour for the spring

      Hi Jiffy

Do you mean they haven't flowered for years, I will go with the easy ones no 6 Muscari and 7 daffodil, 8 Tulip, 9 hyacinth .

would of helped if you put a 10 pence piece on or similar just to estimate the size of the bulbs

Sorry cannot help in ID, just thought it might be easier to plant them up and see what you gets next Spring and Summer. You have the picture just do a little plan and mark which bulb you put where. Pots would be my way. But then again I know little.

        :)

2 could possibly be Snowdrop and 3 possibly Crocus. I agree with Spruce on 6,7,8,9. :)

Number one look like a gloriosa in a bad state , maybe survived the winter and look like that
n3 look like a small daffodilis
                n4 a camosia (not sure)
n5 maybe an allium , small it should smell like an onion or oxalis
