Help, what are these plants called?

    hi

    I would like to know if I can use the plant to re-plant and re grow from the bulbs on the plant?

    is this possible ?

    Looks like the seed head of Allium schubertii. The original bulb will re-grow if left in the ground. You can grow them from seed, if you have the patience.

      Looks a little like the seed head I had on my Allium Christophii - but then I suppose they all look very similar.

      I would agree with you there Palustris. The head looks uneven like A. shubertii. But as you said Annie its just like A. christophii - but on a bad hair day.

      I have grown loads of A. christophii from seed but even after 4 years they are very small and not flowering size. I would like to know how they propagate Alliums commercially. It can't be from seed as A. hollandicum 'Purple Sensation' is a lovely colour but its seeds tend to revert back to a dull colour.
