    Hi all,

Last year I bought two lovely standard fuschias which bloomed for months on end.

Now, one is sprouting away again and I even saw an ovary on one this morning, but the other seems dead except for new growth on the standard stem there is nothing doing whatsoever on the existing branches, should I give it a bit longer or ditch it now.

    Thanks

Give it a bit longer - its early yet for some varieties, but you find that frost has cut back it back - in which case, you may loose the standard effect without cutting it back and then training a new leader.

thanks for that Fran - what do you mean about losing the standard effect, do you mean if there is no growth on branches to just let it sprout from the main stem? If so will it just bush out.

    Thanks agian
