    Hi.
My mum got an Azalea plant for mothers day.
Q1 can i plant this in the garden?
Q2 where would be the best place to plant it?
It was bought in a basket, they had the same plants in asda if this should help.

Best to keep in a pot near to the house while we get over this cold spell. It can go in the garden but may take some time to settle in - plant anywhere in part shade but not in limy soil - it likes sandy/acid soil.
You may find that it is root bound in which case you'll need to loosen the soli/compopst somewhat.

i agree with chobart, and i was actually looking up about azaleas for a friend the other day and found that they require very little in the way of feeding, a good mulch of leaf mould at the most. also if you keep it in a pot, make sure you use only ericaceous (sp) compost as 'normal' compost contains lime.
