Hi everyone, hasn't it been a lovely day! I planted out my All female cucumbers last week in growbags and they are about 18" high and quite bushy. I was looking for tips on growing them - I've seen that you need to nip out side shoots - is that right? And does this mean the shoots coming from the 'crook; formed by the stem and a 'branch' (as with tomatoes) or does it mean the actual 'branches' with leaves on? That probably seems stupid, but I've no idea!

    Thank you
    Kathy

Hello Kathy, I'd try not to pinch out anything until it's big enough to identify. But yes I think we treat the as we do tomato plants in that respect.

I don't. I grow citrus lemon cucumbers. Victorian, bush, hardy, globe in shape. These are the cucumbers for people who hate cucumbers because it's nearly impossible for them to produce fruit.
