Would someone kindly identify this climber for me? It has been doing well for several years, surviving storm damage and all sorts. I am kind of fond of it.

Last summer it got very sickly looking, with lots of leaf browning and dropping. It has survived the winter and I would like to try to help it avoid disease this year. TIA.

I've attached the nearest thing I have to a close-up at the moment- hope it's sufficient.

It flowers, small white flowers. It is evergreen. Photo was taken late last May. I'm in the south-east. Thanks for your interest.

Yes it's a few years old and has been pruned somewhat. I lost quite a lot of it last year due to wind damage. It does get the odd liquid feed and I also work some grow more into the soil in spring.

If not honeysuckle perhaps clematis early sensation or armandii snowdrift both evergreen white flowers.

Thanks for the pointers, after a bit more research I'm thinking it might well be Honeysuckle (or Lonicera Japonica to give it it's posh name).

Hi TomThumb, Your honeysuckle could well be Lonicera japonica 'Halliana'...that's the best known evergreen one. Hopefully the weather conditions will be different this year and it won't suffer the same problem. If it should, and you have a more sheltered spot to give it, it strikes very easily from cuttings:ideaIPB: All honeysuckles are greedy plants for food and water....
