Can anyone one offer advice on my choisya! At least I think that’s what it is, it has white flowers in spring.

half of it looks like it is dying, should I cut that out now and give the whole shrub a trim or should I wait until spring?

thank you in advance. Relatively new to gardening, taken over my mum’s old garden so learning about all the plants here and the little hedgehogs that seem to love a visit!

    Laura :)

I would cut it out now then any new regrowth has a bit of time to harden off before winter

I'd check the dead/dying part and see if it is all coming from one branch and cut off the whole branch, if so.
The good news is that they recover well from any amount of cutting back, so if the removal of the affected section(s) means you need to reshape it, don't be afraid to do so.
