Hi, I have a rosa Glouca which I put in last year which I'm having a few problems with. It has grown very well (going from 30cm to 1.5m at its tallest point in its first year with flowers followed by hips) but I am now experiencing problems with what I think is black spot, some black ash like substance on some leaves and lots of green caterpillars.

Despite feeding it, spraying it with roseclear and a bug killer almost all the leaves on the lower branches have fallen off and I still have the other problems. There are some photos below

I'm at a loss and would like to know what I can do. Thanks in advance.:help:

    Hi Stroudy welcome to GC.

You will have to remove all the leaves that look like that and destroy them. They are small pictures but it looks to me like a touch of midew and possibly some other fungal issue.

Nothing you can do for those leaves now, the roses are starting to slow down for this year, but have hope it should all be well next year.
