Help with winter onions

    Am going onions in a greenhouse over winter. How often should I water them.

      Onions generally like being on the dry side, so it will be a case of monitoring your soil and watering sparingly when it feels dry. If you don't have a moisture meter try sticking your finger into the soil.

      Why are you growing onions in the greenhouse?

      Normally best grown outside.

        I don't trust moisture meters, or maybe our water supplier only supplies moist water, rather than wet water.
