    Hi all,
About 4 weeks ago i purchased a wysteria (approx. 6ft) I planted it and everything was fine. Over the last couple of days ive noticed that the top foliage has become limp, soft and lifeless. Has anyone any ideas of what might be going on? Im getting a bit worried that i might loose it!

    Any ideas would be greatful

I hope I am not being patronising here but I take it you have been watering it well since you planted it.

Have you tried a good hair conditioner? :rotfl:

Seriously, taking up the point of Rhyleysgranny, it's really important to make sure that things are kept watered when they are newly planted. It's easy to assume that this isn't necessary during wet spells such as the one we're in at the moment, but it always surprises me how quickly everything dries out in the summer and your new wisteria won't have got its roots down yet. Where have you planted it? Is it in a dry space close to a wall, for example?

I agree, this is the time when wisteria put on really rapid growth. I'm daily removing side shoots of several inches from mine which are appearing "overnight." They do need to be kept well watered.

and if you have been watering it 'loads' just make sure it is not being over watered, because this can cause the same problem :)
