    Hi folks,
    Aaaarrgh !!!!
am embarrassed to put these on here, but desperately struggling with this lot and not a lot of energy to sort it out !
Anyway, it slopes in every direction, soil at side is clay, trees cast shadow half the day.
    Thanks.

That's a really promising site - and you've got all the before pictures - so after a bit of work, you'll need some afters! Like Sheppy says - what do you like? It looks like you need privacy. That would be my first concern if it was my garden. You ahve the potential for having different bits leading from one into another, with gates, arches, paths, hedges, whatever you like. So go on - what sott of things do you like???? :D And yes, I like the hosta too!

Thanks folks, for the acceptance and hope !

Don't know how to go about putting fences in because of the slopes, I think there's going to be no alternative but to pay a lot of money for someone to sort it out. Been trying to avoid that but I think it's maybe a false economy.

I like herbs and 'easy' veg, hostas, bamboos, grasses, clematis, jasmine, ivy etc. Scented plants, ground cover.

I'd be quite happy to tend them if I could get the basics sorted out.

I've got some herbs, lavenders, agapanthus, cotinus, spotted laurel, bamboo (p. nigra), lavatera, couple of hostas, philadelphus, choisya, hebes, hypericum, hydrangea (don't like but it was a gift.)

Trouble is it's all messy and they're all dotted about.

I'm just overwhelmed by it, so if I could just take a deep breath and figure out some sort of priority list / plan.

    Thanks for the support.
