Herbs, cross-germinate?

Hi,
I've planted Thyme, Parsley, Oregano, Basil in a 10" pot and I think they may have cross-germinated as they all look and taste the same - not of any herb I've tasted before either!

Is this possible? (and if I've invented a new herb, who do I notify?!:lollol

I've never heard of cross germination:lollol:

Its best to grow them in separate pots, that way you will know which is which.

Some take longer to germinate than others and in separate pots one will not swamp the others, which I guessing is happening in your case.

 

No, that is not possible with those plants. I think that one herb has taken over the entire pot. Best of luck with your gardening. Rick

 

That size pot is probably too small for that many plants, unless you're just starting them off in it. Separate pots is a lot better and much easier!
