I have many stunning heaucheras and they can be addictive .

Once it stops raining today I shall pop out and take some new photos.

They really do have a coat of many colours as through the season as their leaves change colour.

Yes last Autumn , I have lots of Purple Peticoats realy stood up to the winter but only a few of Rasberry Ice not as hardy I have found this one is stunning with the silver leaf and the flowers , vine weevel problem so washed off the soil off the mother plants and split them up and kept in the greenhouse over winter .

I planted up 2 hanging baskets with 2 huecherella (redstone falls and yellowstone falls in each basket) a few weeks ago

this was the pic on the day I planted them

this was a few weeks ago .... they have grown considerably and are looking really good .... the redstone falls leaves have darkened considerably ...the leaves of both huecherella are nearly to the bottom of the basket and they are starting to trail

I never had my camera with me today (my phone camera does not have a camera) ... but I will take photos next week

I also planted another large basket a week ago with sunrise falls and redstone falls

I like these trailing huecherella .... they are also in leaf/colour for 12 months of the year and the leaf colours change during every season

Having followed Dims enthusiasm for these plants
I went and bought some, they were also on offer three for two
so I blindly bought six, going by colours

Once planted on the ground, they look really good, only now reading the labels
two are trailing Heucheras, so I do not know if they will trail on the ground or should be in hanging baskets ?

Strongy, heuchera can be temperamental when first planted and like a lot of water to get them established - particularly in your sort of soil. Once established (could take a year on sandy soil) they will do OK.

Only planted mine yesterday so the rain has made them look a bit sad, Berry Smoothie, Green Spice and Creme Brulee.
