I don't know if I've landed in the right but let me tell you a little about ourselves and let you decide!
We are a family of three how have recently emigrated from the UK to Italy. In the process we now have taken on a property with land and fruit trees and not a clue what to do!
What we don't want to do is damage what we have and then hopefully go on to grow more things ourselves.
My plan was to work through what we had here and see if people can help identify what we have and advise us how to get the best out it?
Is that something that we can do here, am I best to post one topic at a time and see how we go?
And Hi! Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Great, well we are in Abruzzo, in between the mountains and the sea. We have been here for a year and so far have had a fairly cool winter, a couple of spells of snow, a very wet spring, a very dry summer, and a mixed autumn. Olive trees seem to be the staple crop here, grape vines a little closer to the sea.

Oh and what's an ID, I'm afraid we are complete novices to this!

    Hello Italiarsenal

I also have a house in Abruzzo, so you never know i may be able to help. I too have fruit trees, olive trees and grapes and we are near the gran sasso mountains. I don't live there yet, hopefully soon, working towards it. I am busy planning what plants to grow out there and sussing the weather out before deciding. :dbgrtmb:

That's good to know Pixie. You're probably not that far from us then. I figured that I'll go through one thing at a time and start with the Fig trees. Where should I start with that, Trees, Edible or Tropical gardening? Thanks for all the welcome messages!

I'd go for Trees, as figs grow in the uk too.
