My partner and I just purchased house with a little yard (first ever) and trying to make the best of it with various pot plants and shrubs (the yard is concrete with no plant bedding areas). Hopefully we will be learning lots from the forum topics and become as green fingered as the rest of the Gardener's Corner members.

Welcome to Gardeners Corner Alan. :) Adding to Loki's post you could also create raised beds.

:sign0016: to GC :). Adding to Loki and Sheal raised beds and pots are also good for creating different soil environments. I have three old baths and six belfast sinks, which are a slightly more quirky take on the traditional raised bed and pot.
