Hi every1, Am very new to gardening and hope to find this forum very usefull. Have just moved to a bungalow with a reasonable size, south facing garden. For the first time since being a child I am able to have my own plants and create what I hope to be a beautiful garden! I love climbing plants so any tips would be v helpfull. Hope to get to know u well in the future. Happy gardening!!
Hi there and welcome. Lovely to have your own space at last to make beautiful. What kind of climbing plants were you thinking of growing?
Hi Fran, Am trying (emphasis on trying) to grow pasion flower, honey suckle, clematis and Jasmine at the mo. Love fragrant plants. Have posted about clematis so any advice would be gratefully received. xxxxxxxxxxxxx
I have never grown passion flower, but honeysuckle and jasmin shouldn't be difficult. Honeysuckle likes sun, but will tolerate partial shade. Not sure whether your talking about winter or summer flowering jasmin. Both can be vigorous growers. Unfortunately thats all my summer flowering jasmin did - cos it didn't get enough sun, and I didn't know about potash rich food then. Well one lives and learns eh :D
