Hi All My name is Pat I actually joined last year but for one reason or another could not get on the web very often. I am a new gardener, but the bug has bitten. The garden has improved over the last couple of years more by luck than good judgement. Front garden is cottage style and in the back we have just added some extra borders planted a few shrubs and will see how it progresses during the year. Last year started growing some veg and salads in a raised bed 16 X 5. The 5' width is a bit wide but I decided I woiuld struggle a bit rather than lose teh extra space hoping for more success this year. Started out well as we are eating home grown Spring Caggabge for the first time and have some over wintered onions to look forward too plus some garlic Already has one bit of advice back from the forum. I forgot to sow my leeks and was unsure if I was too late!!
