Sounds like an interesting idea. Certainly helpful if those posting make sure to have their growing zone displayed since there are some of us that are fairly distant from The Garden of England and our seed starting times might not be recommended for your zone :)

In the General Gardening Discussions forum there is a sub forum called: "What to do this month" which is very under utilised. Perhaps you could start a regular thread in there for seed sowing (which could include both edibles and other)? :dunno: It has the potential to be a much used sub-forum but it is down to members to run with it.

Alternatively, there is a thread "What jobs are you doing in the garden today (2016)" where members post what they have sown, grown, harvested, fixed, repaired, weeded, culled, painted, potted and shredded. But it is one you would need to read regularly to keep on top of it so that may not be entirely practical plus it does contain everything under the sun :heehee:

I agree with @CanadianLori that making certain you have your area/zone posted would be helpful to those forum members who live elsewhere but also, seed sowing depends on other factors too e.g propagator (un/heated); greenhouse vs windowsill; direct sow; last frost dates.

Great idea though :dbgrtmb: I'll look forward to seeing how this develops :)

Even have some different, but it is more interesting to know the different seeds, give idea about what you want buy and try.

Others is a Little too general, specific one is easy as a ref

General gardening forum is not as popular as here

              Just my opinion :)

As Woo has said we are looking at the request. One of the problems we face with Threads with Group Threads is that they can be too specific and definitive and can get lost in the mass of threads. I'm not saying that this is so in this case, but as has been pointed out by "M" the subject is being covered in :
Anyway, we've got the Kettle on, Ziggy is getting the Hobnobs from his drawer, and we'll have a office "campfire" about it.:snork::heehee:

Another excuse is that doesn't totally include seed sowing, sometimes you do at home with window still, not garden:yes::smile:

We also have a propagation forum under 'General Gardening Discussion' that could be put to use. :)
