Hey, i'm new here and new to allotmenting. Just sent off the form to accept a half plot offer and i'm WAY out of my depth! Off to find the right place to post an awful before pic!

 

Hi @DefNotAPro & welcome to the forum! I did some work on a couple of allotments a few years ago. I had to hand my one back to the town council as I was making very much use of it. It was a half plot I had for 2 years but couldn't keep up with it any longer.

For 2 years before I got my own plot I was helping a friend who had 1 1/2 plots. He had to give up his half plot as it was becoming too much for him after having mayor surgery. He also gave back his main plot which he'd had for at least 10 years because he felt he could no longer manage allotment work.

There is a thread especially dedicated to allotment growing, you could have a look at it & perhaps find some advice.
